1 Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using LidBridge, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, do not use the software.

These terms apply to all users of LidBridge, including contributors to the open-source repository.

2 Software License

LidBridge is released under the GNU General Public License v3.0 (GPL-3.0). This means you are free to:

  • Use the software for any purpose
  • Study how the software works and modify it
  • Distribute copies of the software
  • Distribute modified versions of the software

Under the terms of GPL-3.0, any derivative works must also be distributed under the same license. See the full license text on the GitHub repository.

3 Data Collection & Usage

LidBridge may collect anonymous usage analytics to improve the application. This data is stored in a central PostgreSQL database hosted on Neon.tech and includes event types, timestamps, application version, and general operating system information.

No personally identifiable information, GitHub tokens, repository names, or file contents are stored in the analytics database. Analytics collection is optional and can be disabled at any time through the application settings.

By using LidBridge with analytics enabled, you consent to the collection and storage of anonymous usage data as described above.

4 User Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the security of your GitHub access tokens
  • Using LidBridge in compliance with GitHub's Terms of Service
  • Ensuring you have proper authorization to access repositories you connect to LidBridge
  • Reviewing detected secrets before taking any action on them

LidBridge is a tool to assist with secret detection. It is not a replacement for proper security practices and code review processes.

5 Intellectual Property

LidBridge is developed and maintained by Lidprex Labs. The name, logo, and branding are property of Lidprex International. The source code is open source under GPL-3.0.

Any third-party components or libraries used by LidBridge retain their original licenses.

6 Disclaimer of Warranty

LidBridge is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to the warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and noninfringement.

We do not warrant that the software will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

7 Limitation of Liability

In no event shall Lidprex Labs, Lidprex International, or their contributors be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of LidBridge.

This includes but is not limited to loss of data, loss of tokens, security breaches, or any damages resulting from GitHub API interactions performed through the application.

8 Data Deletion

All data stored by LidBridge resides locally on your machine. To delete all data, uninstall the application and remove its configuration directory. No data is stored on external servers (analytics disabled in current version).

9 Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be posted on the GitHub repository and reflected in future releases. Your continued use of LidBridge after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
